Day 15: Carowinds. On a very hot day, we had a hard time coping with all that Cedar Fair Park had to offer. With a dozen or so coasters on the list, we managed to get through it thanks to a really low attendance. All in all, although it lacked a bit of animation, the park is rather pleasant to do. With the high temperatures, we did notice that one or two water attractions were missing around here. It's a shame we don't have more on offer in this area.
I scream, you scream, he/she screams, we scream, you scream, he/she screams. The mirror version of Thunder Run at Kentucky Kingdom. More comfortable here, though. But no air time surprise, then. And that's all I can say about Carowinds =]
Absent: Fury 325. We missed our local Giga B&M by just a few days. He'd been taunting us all day, but due to his prolonged failure, there was no ride.

Highlight #4: Nighthawk. My first (and probably only and last) Vekoma Flying Coaster. A machine with old technology but still functional. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take full advantage of the experience due to a downpour at dispatch, but from what I could feel, it vibrates a little without being uncomfortable, and above all it's pretty intense.

Highlight #3: Copperhead Strike. Halfway between Blue Fire and Motiongate's Capitol Bullet Train. The air times are numerous and very nice, and like it or not: the hang times are also present. The launches… are unfortunately very soft on this kind of model. However, the elements are varied and there's no downtime. What's more, it doesn't vibrate and it's comfortable. Frankly, it's a lot of fun for a layout that's rather long but very compact.

Highlight #1: Thunder Striker. The American Silver Star: an almost identical layout and a track that runs alongside the park's car park. Just the trains and the colour are different. It's super comfortable, the floating times are pleasant and in general, the coaster is very satisfying to ride.
